Arts After School

Arts After School Program (AAS)

AAS program was initiated due to the lack of opportunities for area youth to pursue creative activities. This need was expressed by the youth themselves in a city-sponsored survey. AAS provides students in grades 3, 4, 5 an after school snack, transportation home and an art lesson with a professional artist every day. Scholarships allow this program to be open to all students. Grades 3 through 5 were targeted, as this age group is the most often unsupervised after school.

Arts After School Mission Statement: The Jamestown Fine Arts Association's Arts After School program offers creative experiences in the arts to all students in grades three, four, and five in Jamestown. The experiences will be facilitated by professional artists in order to broaden knowledge and skills in the arts and increase exposure to diverse art forms and cultures.
