THIS CLASS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE BUFFALO MALL FLYER - Click HERE Learn how to form your own French-style ear wires and make a dazzling set of wrapped hoop earrings. You’ll get to choose different metals to work with such as Sterling Silver, Brass, Bronze and Copper. Your choice of gemstones too! Learn of art of fine wire wrapping, head pin techniques and learn to use a hand-held torch. Earring Classes - 10 am, 1 pm, 4 pm, Class Fee: $35 for members, $45 for non-members. Watercolor

Explore painting with watercolors while creating a still life and landscape. Jessica is a NDSU graduate of art and design. During this class she will share her extensive knowledge of materials as well composition. All supplies are included. This class is appropriate for beginners as well as more advanced students.

Join artist Guillermo Guardia “Memo” at the Hansen Studios Ceramic classroom for a four session hand-building class. Memo is a visiting artist from Peru at UND and will be in Jamestown to share his talents during a one-week residency. On the first evening of his visit, September 13th, there will be a reception to meet Memo and he will do a short demonstration. Tuesday through Friday he will share his sculpture skills with the beginner as well as the more experienced sculptor.
Girls Night Out

Get a group together or come solo for a fun evening of female camaraderie and ceramics. This evening’s project will be a ceramic frame. Tammy will provide everything including a little coaching and encouragement. You will have an artful experience even if you are artistically challenged. Appetizers will be served. Bring your own beverage.

Need something different to do? Tired of doing the same old thing? Bring a date or just a friend for a few creative hours of painting pottery pieces. Enjoy an early dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. After your ceramic activity dessert will served. Your fee includes all materials necessary to complete one ceramic piece. Additional pieces may be purchased the night of the class

Ever wanted to pick up a paintbrush? Have you ever thought about painting on a canvas? Intrigued by oil, acrylic or watercolor paintings? If you've answered yes, then Dabble in Paint is for you. We are offering introductory sample classes in acrylic, oil and watercolors. Join us for one class or sign up for all of them. The supplies that are needed for each class will be provided.
·Dabble in Acrylic The use of colors and blending techniques will be explored as we paint a sunset.
·Dabble in Oil We will create a landscape painting with an emphasis on contrast and light.
·Dabble in Watercolor How much water is needed to paint a floral still life? Let's find out together.
Break With Clay ….NDEA

Take a break from your studies and spend the NDEA (North Dakota Educators Association) break learning to create with clay during our two-day mini camp. You'll want to dress for a mess while we learn basic hand-building techniques and throwing techniques on the potter's wheel. Projects include bowls, mugs, lidded boxes and sculptures.
$50/$60. For ages 12 through adults.

Roll Printing on Copper or Silver

October 23, 10am-2pm
Roll printing on copper or silver involves “embossing” patterns and designs on metal. Artist, Don Paul, will teach students the technique of passing metal through a rolling mill under pressure to create their own designs which can be used to create jewelry, magnets or decorative touches to a project. Copper will be provided. Silver is available at an additional charge. Students should bring a bag lunch.

Create a beveled ornament while learning or polishing your foiling, soldering and finishing skills. One ornament is included in the fee. Materials may be purchased to create another ornament if time allows.
Arts After Work
5:30pm-7:00 pm, $5/$7 AAW starts September 13th! We will once again meet on Monday nights from 5:30pm-7pm. Stop by after work and try a different art form every Monday. We will start on the 13th with Mojito Monday and the art of Cuban artist Wilfredo Lam.
